An American Living in South Africa
Darlene De Marie ( Associate Professor, Educational Psychology, USF) received a Fulbright grant ( 2007-2009) to start an early childhood center in Limpopo, South Africa. Limpopo is the northernmost province of South Africa. Its population is 97% Black and consists of several different ethnic groups, each with its own language and culture. Dr. DeMarie will discuss her experiences living in South Africa as well as the challenges and successes of the early childhood center. At the end of her presentation, Dr. DeMarie will take questions.
